PvE Battles

When the player’s Monster defeats the NPC Monsters, players will receive rewards either in Energy, Token or NFT of Partner Chain and Game upon specific campaign, or other in-game items which would be updated in later phases of the project. The percentage of receiving different types of rewards is random.

The amount of Energy Rewards is calculated by the following formulation:

REWARD = BLOCK REWARD x GLOBAL BONUS x TIER BONUS x CHAIN MATCH x REWARD FACTOR

  • Block Reward: Fixed one, based on the opponent monster's block.

  • Global Bonus: This factor reflects how many players are playing and how they are earning. If there are many players, it would be harder to get a high reward. The more intensive the game is, the lower this Global Bonus factor.

  • Tier Bonus: The higher tier the player is at, the better reward he receives. Learn more about the Tier Reward factor in the Tier session

  • Chain Match: If the player is from the same chain as the opponent, you have a bonus reward

  • Monster Reward Factor: This is a fixed attribute for each species. Players can see this upon choosing the monster to combat. Each species's reward factor can be found in its description on the Encyclopedia page

Monster Experience System (EXP)

The player’s Monster will gain experience for each battle. The amount of experience gained depends on the battle results, as well as the difference in level between attacker and defender. The total cumulative experience gained is used to define the level of a Monster.

Killing Rates

If a player’s Monster loses in PvE battles, their monster may be “burned”. This means that the player loses ownership of their NFT permanently. This is called the Killing Rate: when a player does not use insurance, they have a 5% chance of losing their monster forever if they are defeated in battle.

Battle Insurance

If a player wants to prevent the loss of their Monster NFT, they can purchase a Battle Insurance. The cost of insurance changes over time and is based on the Game Difficulty and the Battle Requirement; it’s paid in Energy.

Win/Lose Condition

Battles take turns until one Monster dies first (HP drops to 0), or if after ten turns, both Monsters are still standing, the one with the higher HP wins. If both Monsters have the same HP, the Monster who attacked first wins.

First Turn Advantage

  • The speed score will be the only determinant. Monsters with higher speed scores will take advantage of attacking first. If the two monsters have the same speed score, who attacks first will be decided randomly. (effective from 11th May 2022)

  • Battle Damage:

    • Damage dealt per round: Normal Damage + Special Move Damage

    • Normal Damage: min value = 10 10 + (Attacker ATK - Defender DEF) x (RANDBETWEEN (0.7, 1.0))

    • Special Move (Critical) Damage (30% chance of executing): min value = 10 10 + (Attacker’s Special Attack (SPA) - Defender Special Defense (SPD))

Elemental Type Advantage

An attacking Monster will double its damage on the opponent if they have an advantageous elemental proposition. For example the SPIRIT one is strong against LIGHT and DARK, this means Spirit elemental monster will double their damage when attacking Light and Dark Monster.
